I'm not a fan of selling replicas in any fashion. I was more leaning towards unbranded things like toys or clothing or finding legit sellers.

This is actually a pretty interesting thing to think about. In my city we find quite a few beggars (I know quite a few of them are scammers, I see them walking without their wheelchairs in their spare time), but I'd find promotion work hard considering half of them aren't exactly presentable.

I'm thinking of combining this with sourcing goods from chinese wholesalers/dropshippers. What things do you recommend that sell well?

When you mentioned talking to the real estate group, did you try to get some money out of them too or just arrange the show? If the former, what kind of arrangement did you go for (i.e. you get referral commissions for the furniture, what did you get for the real estate group?)
