Suggestion, get a job and save another 500. Then put 500 or 600 into a blog network, you could probably get around 10 sites for that price, and the rest into a couple of services like sherlock, thehoth, etc.

Great post covering all the essentials. I don't think it's all necessary in order to rank, but it might be a good idea to run through the checklist every few months to see that things are working. Internal linking is also very important.

For GSA you need the indexer also, and I recommend private proxies. Also, you'll need to either create your own verified list or get one from somewhere, the standard list sucks. You'll also need much more links, and many more properties.
