My sites dance around all the time. And it differs a lot from what WMT says. Ranking does appear to be taking longer - have to be a lot more careful these days, or you'll incur the wrath of G.

You can sometimes get free vouchers for private registrations with Godaddy. Those work well.

Sounds like the good old 301 redirect. Alternately they could buy a high PR domain and redirect it for the juice as well. Juice from old domains doesn't always stick around though.

They are actually quite good in the emails they send - they will nearly spell it out what the problem is by giving you hints. Read it carefully, and if you hover over the ad there's usually a shortened reason given - not sure if that is your case here. I usually defer to the emails.

Damm, missed the window :( 50% are hard to come by on Godaddy. Best I see are 25-30% that work semi-consistently. Other ones that work well are free privacy which cuts down the cost considerably if you care for that sort of thing.

Referrers are client based - ie calculated at the browser from the user. Some browsers behave differently, but I believe it will show as the site it is on.

Clever idea! Good luck - please keep us posted. DO you need verified accounts to do this? Ghosting is going to be the biggest hurdle I imagine, but if you're up front about it you may have less of that happening.

Err. It's already HUGE and the alexa graphs are not letting up. That said, not sure if it can surpass twitter which seems to have a wider appeal.
