Thank you so much for this thread. This is truly a learning experience for me with lots of great information.
I hope you it make it to the top 10 soon.
I like to hear some feedback regarding this too because I have thought about doing some German websites. However, I think article marketing and backlinks don't have the same juice as they do on the more popular .com domains. I could be completely wrong, but I am trying to figure out how to...
Like most people said...check out the stickeys in the SEO forums. Then everything else is pretty much getting juice outside your website....forums, articles, web 2.0, backlinks, etc.
God how many times have we heard this story here. I am sorry to hear you lost everything. I think the lesson here is...no more than 5-10 sites per IP , adsense, and google analytics.
Personally I don't know and I have no experience with dhgate. I do deal with alibaba and like to look for suppliers that have had good feedback. There are also companies that will check out the products for you to make sure they are the real deal like asiainspection dot com
I don't know for sure but I certainly seem more replicas an Ebay than I do Amazon. Also it seems the natural progression to selling online is going from Ebay --> Amazon --> Your own domain site.....however I guess that process does not really matter if you are selling replicas. :-)
Oh how I would love to know successful method doing this and what the conversion is. I personally don't like spammy methods (read unsolicited anything). However, good luck to you.

Although I would think electronic items would sell well on ebay, I never wanted to get into it simply for the reason of dealing with returns and potential problems with products. I much rather sell accessories (like IPAD covers, etc) because the rate of return would be much lower.
I checked into dropshipping and simply could not find it to be profitable. Sometimes I found it cheaper to buy products from a seller on ebay than the wholesale dropshippper cost.
