Today, I noticed a fair amount of traffic from Instagram. I don't use Instagram so it can't be me, and Instagram hide the referral so I have no clue which account sent the link and from which post. I only have a clue as to where the person is living cause all the traffic comes from one country...

If you have active redirections already on your current domain (check your htaccess, a 301 plugin if you have one), ideally change them later so they go directly to your new website. It's more efficient that they go broken url -> new domain than broken url -> current domain -> new domain
