I was reading up on auto blog submissions, etc. and saw that people use proxies. Could you explain in plain language - why? For what purpose? And How?

if you have your own wordpress site, install Pretty Link Lite (free plugin) that will create a nice link using your own site, like this yoursite address/this-is-the-product but when they click the link it will redirect to your affiliate page

Hey guys, first post here, so be gentle... :) I read variations of this method, for cb products and launch jacking, et. al. One thing I cannot understand - how do you review products you don't own? Or are we supposed to buy each product? Or do you just write hyped up review around the subject...
