Display network has always been pretty bad, it’s like playing whack a mole trying to remove certain sites from showing your ads. But don’t expect much from anything outside search these days
I will say though you need to burn a lot more money these days than you used to collecting data, and automated bidding actually works. PMAX is getting there but AI max is trash (for the most part) my rule is anytime Google launches a new product give it a year or two before you even start testing
Tons of success. That’s all i do is google ads these days, i still do run some Microsoft ads but i have accounts i started within the last 2 years spending millions a month that started on a few thousand
Depends on the niche, possibly running search partners you can get much cheaper CPC but the quality is trash. I haven’t seen people being successful with budgets that low in a while but again if it’s a non competitive niche then sure. You would just need to test it
Keywords is only half the battle. Google is also going to be looking at your lander. I don’t think there is a good permanent solution hence why so many people are selling Google ads accounts
Yes if you use just the default setup in google ads. Go in and make sure that you have search partners and all that turned off. Google ads setup seems easy but a lot of it is turning off the default options that waste money
That’s a touch niche to run but i would start real strict like exact match [local computer repair shop] and see if that runs. There is a lot of fraud in the tech support niche where people will install a virus then make you pay to remove it.
What type of campaign are you running? It sounds like an issue with your bidding strategy and you may need to open it up. Try switching it to “max clicks” bidding strategy and see if that gets it going but usually a keyword will show that there is not enough volume to run, and that usually only...
Did you recently change anything with the billing? The majority of the time I’ve dealt with suspensions has something to do with billing and usually easily gets fixed
This is a good thing, give you more space to disqualify clicks as well. When I’m not focusing on CTR i will put things in my ad copy to try and keep people from clicking that i know won’t convert. For example If someone is looking for a grey computer, i make sure i mention the computer is black
Very great article. The only thing that stood out to me is in my experience when i disable search partners (and always do) my CPC will increase, which isn’t a bad thing if its quality clicks
