They're getting sued because the person I sent the emails to didn't want to receive them. And they're sueing the ad network for 5 figures.

Yes, they terminated my account and told me I could be in trouble. They were just CPA affiliate emails but apparently they broke California law.

Hey guys, I recently had one of my accounts terminated. Somebody sued the advertiser and ad network for spam emails with my link in them. The relationship manager is pissed at me and they have my real information. Help? Has anyone ever dealt with this? Could I have legal repercussions also?

It isn't for copyright, but concerning emails I may have sent out. They claim to be entitled to $1000 per email under California law. I'm in the US, but maybe they won't consider me worth the effort?
