it would be great if we can start our own coin. of course without any ico, dont like them. could be hybrid pow/pos with masternodes and improvements. cheap transaction cost and only small portion premined. we can run the network ourselves. seems like fun :D anyone thinking along these lines...

currently btc has no real competitor and is flagship of all cryptos. ethereum has many competitors. some are even better. eos, qtum, ada, aeternity, neo, etc.

agreed, cold storage wallets are safest, but BitGo is good & secure enough as many top crypto exchanges and projects hold their funds in there ;)

btc is currency vs. eth is global decentralized computer governed by smart contracts when eth goes to pos, miners should move onto the next pow coin

kraken is very expensive exchange. i would avoid it completely
