Some trackers allow you to customise your own tracking domains based on their infrastructure. I wonder how difficult it is to apply for your own tracker certification. I mean apply to google for domain certification. ( obvious things don't look complicated like make a site, fill in the form, etc.)
I was able to install a link from one of the certified trackers in a regular google ads. The tracker itself had a 302 redirect function so I checked the tracking template link and even with force transparent=true the tracker was able to redirect me to the domain I specify in the tracker...
Hm. So, I have an old account from 2022 for example. It has an ad campaign on it that was also created in 2022 (now on pause). I.e. if I replace the tracking url now, google will reject due to not certified tracker?
If we're having this conversation. Could you suggest a tracker that could be used with such old accounts. A tracker with 302 redirect function is needed of course
And what changed with accounts after September 2023. Are they not subject to Google ads rules regarding the tracking template? For old accounts before September 2023 can only use a certified tracker, or am I wrong?
