think DRM. with all the "watch streaming / download movie" sites out there, they are just sucking up to big businesses in order to belong to the crowd and profit long term. even if your domain is privacy locked from whois snooping, what's keeping them from giving out your real details to anyone...

should looking for a niche come first before getting a domain? i think a good niche and several pillar articles in your blog would be the best foundation -- all others come second (traffic, etc.). i see a lot of sites there that are light on content and the ones that have big usable articles...
