Does this still use the official API with token? I have found a way to check a models online/offline status without the use of the official API however it's slow if you're on shared hosting or hosting that does not support sockets etc.

Have you been able to proceed any further with this? I myself am working on a small personal project and have ran into the only solution which is the dreaded 5-6MB file every time. I am mainly just trying to get the online/offline status of a list of models, but there seems to be no simple...
