Yes - I'm making good money with admob for my mass market apps, but I have many apps up which cost me nothing to make and put up after I have paid my software license so find this business model works very well for me.

For Google Play I test live apps. With the software I use, I can create apps in less than 10 mins. I then put them up for 48 hours and see which ones are working and improve those and ditch the rest.

Other ways to make a few more cents from your apps which I use - put any text pages onto a live web page with adsense - use EPN Rss feeds ( Need to be a member of eBay Affil prog) - Everbadge
