there is no magic number imo. i would put a link on any page where that would benefit the user but i would refrain from making users read the same important article in every post about that subject. the clean topic structure is often more important than many intternal links.

another item on my list would be determining whether or not the page is even matching ur assumed query. in some cases i have pages sitting around in the same range simply bcz google was matching it to something else. after fixing this rankings moved without adding many new links.

yeahhh, I can relate. Sometimes I feel okay until I open my laptop and then I have zero motivation at all. I have noticed that if I can get myself startted on one small task it is usually easier after a few minutes.
