Don't feel too bad. Since the time of my last writing, FB deleted all my pages and locked my account. Have never been able to get a response as to why. No message, no warning, just a giant "Thank you for your ad spend, now fuck off".

I think the consensus has always been that the August update was about a lot of different things (as Google themselves stated with their "broad" core algorithm change). The question is how significant of a role EAT plays and, if significant, how Google evaluates EAT.

I agree that it likely wasn't much from what I did. I think I started with that. But I also don't think it's variance. I think Google's algorithm change a few days ago is what brought me back (well, partially so far, not all the way back but it's still improving).
