Most gift cards on ebay are from returned stolen goods or bought with stolen credit cards. On the other hand, pawn shops and many various companies buy gift cards for 50% to 60% of their value. A lot of people are willing to sell for the quick cash.

People aren't going to just give you their ideas. Especially the low risk high profit ones. You might want to just sell your aged account. Otherwise do some basic research. Search completed auctions, find items that are selling multiples/day at a high value. Then find a supplier to buy...

Nothing really happens. You just get a letter from customs saying they are destroying the goods. I don't think the rights owners are notified. Investigations usually happen with much larger seizures.

Getting hacked is usually your own fault. The type of Wordpress hack described here is the webmasters fault..
