Why do people pay for "Likes" or "Friends"
I have done Fiverr a few times just to build above the 25 LIKES mark so that we can claim the page URL. Also I feel that someone is more likely to LIKE the page if there are several hundred others already liking it, compared to if they come and only 5 people already LIKE it.- brucemcc

How does this guy get LIKES?
I am sure this is a simple question for you guys, but I can't wrap my head around it. I paid a guy on Fiverr to get me 200 LIKES to a Facebook Page of mine. He needed to be temporarily added as an Admin to the page. I looked while he was doing the work and didn't see any messaging going out...
