Do you build from scratch, hire programmers or do you use code sold online whether free like wordpress or for a price on codecanyon.

Say you have an idea for a website, what are the general steps you make in setting it up and all the way to promoting it? Sorry for the disorganized question, it's just that I am completely lost on where to begin and most tutorials here aren't very razor-sharp .

I did not mean it in a simply friendly manner of making things better for them. What I mean is data mining, using it to extract as much money, data results as possible. The description of user friendly doesn't fit it.

I have a small site and wanted to know if there's something I'm missing. I'm thinking about using google adsense for a small website I have, and I would like to know if there are different directions I should be looking in.

I'm pretty sure it is, I mean I haven't confirmed but I can not see why a respectable host service wouldn't give VPSs dedicated IPs. However I will mail them and ask to confirm.

I have a VPS. My email mentioned it was on my website's IP.

My site is fairly young and new, about two months old I think. It's not a big competitor in the scene, and it's not a big scene considering its topic which is why I found it completely weird that I've been targeted.

About two days ago I've received an automated email by my hosting service saying they've recognized a DDOS attack on my services and thus are migrating all traffic onto their infrastructure (Built in DDOS protection), and about 25 minutes later I got an email saying they no longer see an attack...
