It's not comparable at all as I wouldn't be operating with a banking license, let alone as an identifiable entity. The point of this thread is not to debate whether it's possible, it's about whether there'd be a demand.

There would be no legal trouble, I have experience doing this stuff; not at scale but that can be worked out without much headache. The only trouble would be setting up the system; which is why I'm asking here if it'd be worth my time.
