It varies. For them it's about the ROI. If a subreddit with 50,000 subscribers cost $500. They believe that reddit will at least double their money. You should check out the playerup site. That will help you gage your subreddits value.

You can always go to a site like replit and tell it your ideas/parameters and let it design/formulate something you want/similar to what you want and build from there with your setup.

They would end up like Tumblr. People will leave in droves. If there was ever a Reddit clone for people to run to, now is the time to build it.
