There's no right or wrong way to do it. Everyone will have different results. You just need to try things, and see how they work. Expect to fail a lot, but that's ok. I would start by read posts, blogs, etc - read as much as you can, and then experiment.

Yeah, I would check out something like iMacros plugin for FireFox... If I'm following what you're looking to accomplish.

In my experience, it's pretty accurate. It does vary a bit when compared to other analytic tools, mainly due to the bots it "hides" from results.
