I think I read somewhere that if you publish your article on your website before submitting it to article directories then your own website would rank just as good. Not sure how far it is true though. About the sites that copy from you, they too would get sandboxed in due time; just wait and watch

Yep. Getting sandboxed is the biggest penalty ever imo. There is no way you would ever be able to recover your website from there lol. So it makes sense to be the 'nice guy' and not try to game google. ;)

That and the vendors don't ever experiment with their copywriting style. You look at their salespages and instantly you know that the product belongs to clickbank lol. Look at the wso forum: proof that sometimes bs too sells, if YOU can make it sell :D

Actually these days people can get most of these things on fiverr at cheaper rate, so not sure how profitable CB would be for someone who is not selling something unique (or at least something like 'old wine in a new bottle)

Agree with ThopHayt. It is about the same amount of work but the profit would be more if you follow ThopHayt's suggestions. It is like the difference between rewriting existing content and writing new content from scratch :D
