    Truecrypt is dead

That's the strange thing about it: The anon dev is giving stupid explanations like xp isn't supported by MS anylonger and truecrypt was directed at xp (?) and gives bitlocker as an alternative (but everybody knows, you can't trust a US- company 'bout security regards). The last working version...

    Truecrypt is dead

Heard a rumour it might be similar to the lavabit thing: maybe they can't keep it secure and can't disclose anything (threatened?), so they give a bogus explanation on why they cancel the whole app ("was developed for win XP, not more").

Make $4000 / month working 1 hour per day.

Basically this seems to be something like a meta-search engine with your own ads (if you do it right and add some automatic daily scraping). If you're in the EU, you should think about this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/01/13/meta_search_engines_may_infringe_database_rights_eu_court_of_justice/

Its Time You Ditched Gmail, Chrome, WMT, GA

Maybe we should keep an eye on the services we book. Very often you get the results (lists of backlinks or blogs, content, GSA Data) on a google doc sheet or via plain gmail. It's fine if you avoid gmail yourself, but anyone in the pipeline using goggle services may mess up your efforts...

Google's Matt Cutts Targets Link Network ‘Anglo Rank’

I'll repeat myself, but nobody can fix google's algo. There won't be a google again like the one you know from 10 years ago, or even 10 month. It's out of their hands: SEO is the art of making a machines work to look like it has been done by a lot of humans. Google's job on the other site...

Best programming language to make software?

depends, for in-house I would take python for it's ease of use and large module library. But if you want to sell it, other alternatives might be better (for protecting your application from being hacked, pirated and reverse-engineered). Though I heard some guys on this forum build their software...

CRATOS' Journey to 30 Days of COLD SHOWERS

You mean, trying to get that much sleep? I am on 4 hours, 5 would be an improvement. DAY 1 Since it's winter here, the water comes really cold out of the shower. That said, I don't feel the need for shock therapy. I set the temperature to 'colder than me' (not warm and not ice cold) and worked...

My 2 Week Old Site Without a Single Backlink

Freshness. Will drop down -70% or even more. Saw that on one of our eComs, fresh sister page (same content, different style) without backlinks it started ranking and made sales. some weeks after all died down (obviously no backlink was made).

I just dropped out of school

Delete steam and avoid humblebundle. If you're good at python, you can build almost any idea you might have for a new website/service. I dropped out of university to become a freelancer. The freedom is great, but you will also have times where you just don't know how to survive the next month...

301 Redirect for negative SEO. This is a problem.

I doubt a referrer based redirect works for your rankings. It works for people following the links, but not for spiders: SE crawlers don't traverse links (and probably redirects) like humans, when the crawler sees an outbound link (or redirect) it doesn't run immediately after it, it just...

The Method to Rank you for Any Keyword

he's part of your group gorang? I know, people will cheerish him sharing 'his' method, and in general, all talk about giving back to the community etc - but in the end - a good method should stay in in the circles it was developed in. otherwise nobody will make money from it. I feel sorry for...
