I think it really depends on what you are using it for. Imagine them to be similar to a car (as a symbol, not necessarily a tool). Some people just want a fancy, loud car to say they have one, others just want it to get from point A to point B. Depends on how you like to drive, friend.

I just finished a online course about this and I'm figuring out my strategy for site content. One thing that was mentioned was updating. So supposedly, as long as your content is good, new, and relevant, it doesn't matter how often you post. the quality and format is what matters most.
