I am sorry you were a victim of this, kind of funny because some people on this forum outline how to do this type of job-fraud to other people and get defensive when called unethical wanks.
Not to argue with scritty, but I don't think its a dance. I think that this niche in particular is manually reviewed or at the very least constantly penalizes domains. So people who want to stay in the niche come up with RSS feeds or link schemes where thousands of links can be switched easily...
My tips:

2. List your site with full complete profiles on as many local listing service as possible, there are prob around 25 that are worth it + google/yahoo/bing local
3. If one location, put your address in your...
Spam is not the only method, for a while i created a community around HIV and sold meds from this pharmacy. It worked very well even with low traffic because it was so targeted. I think there are a ton of useful microniches like this where if you make a community around the disease that has...

Don't fool yourself you are just making money from people so desperate...
I think that this type of work is a little gross, so many people are trying to scam honest job seekers it get a little absurd. In reality your service would not really improve the odds of landing any job at all, and you are likely taking food out of their houses.

In that case I would suggest keyword research on phrase match long tails that are < 10k searches a month. Find out what ranks easily keep writing on those longtails you will be able to generate revenue for your site legitimately while building authorship etc.
You don't need 10k if you have great resources at your disposal, if not and you want a decent site not just something to push money you will need capital....
