I have a US business PayPal account, linked to a business bank account, and haven't had any problems thus far. The account is 9 years old and has been in constant use. Hopefully I don't wake up one day to find this has happened.

Can you contact Amazon and explain the situation to them? I don't sell on Amazon but eBay has been fairly understanding about this situation.

States are desperate for sales tax revenue but for many items this will just drive buyers off eBay and onto places that don't have to collect sales tax. Overseas websites, seller's individual websites, etc.
