So I just read this article article about making your own link shortener. And it mentions that you need a domain to connect to bit.ly to make your own link shortener, but it doesn't say anything about hosting. Is it necessary to host as well? I'm a complete noob btw. Any help is appreciated...

The reason I'm suspicious of it being a scam is because I've read a lot about them not properly tracking clicks, and sometimes they ban your account for no reason because they think you're not getting real clicks. Heard it from a few places, but maybe it's not true for everyone. And I can't use...

Actually, MyLikes appears to be a scam and ChaCha isn't what I'm looking for at all. Any other suggestions?
