It is a bit hard to tell what exactly has been affected by this recent update. I should think that the SERP 2.0 links are still good however, as I have a website with only that package on it and it still holds it rank (even went a bit higher in a dance).

There are always ways to monetize a site, it onus is upon you to find one that suites your website. I can't recommend any specific actions as I have no idea what your website is about or what methods of monetizing you have tried.

Sounds good, as long as those are "exact" volumes then it would seems that keyword has potential. You should also pay attention to the CPC and Advertiser competition however, as these also play a big role in estimating your potential earnings.
