Personally, I think people are slowly getting used to shortforms that it messes up with attention span. But also, you "seek" longform as an audience, you search for it when you have to watch it, unlike shortforms that it shows you in the algorithm while scrolling.

Can be both. Personally, if I'm the audience I would love documentaries to be long so they can be more informational. But posting short vids can help promote it.
