Unless I misunderstand what you are saying, I think this could be an issue with your theme. Why not try another theme (just a quick test) and see if you still have the problem.

I recommend UBot as I have used it for years and really love it. I still use version 4 as I don't know that 5 is completely stable yet. I haven't tried Zennoposter so I can't really compare them.
