I know, but you wanted counter-theories and responses, and so I posted what I've experienced with my own account which hits the pop page with every photo!

"The user must receive likes from at least 20% of their followers.". Likes from 20% of followers is a lot, and in my experience, this is inadequate. It doesn't require as much as 20% to reach the popular page.

There's nothing you can do, unfortunately. Good look with getting a response from Instagram's support - they never answer a god damn thing.

Are you hitting the pop page naturally now? And how many likes do you normally get on a picture? I'm in your ballpark with the amount of followers, and just wanted to compare!

Yup, it depends on a lot of different variables now. I usually get around 1200 likes within the first 30mins, and still no pop page. All genuine likes of course. On the other hand, there is a guy who claims to be able to get you on the pop page. I couldn't find his original thread which was...

The same reason as with everything else: there's a difference in quality.

What kind of account(s) do you have? Fashion/Relatable/Funny/Meme etcetcetc? Preferably tags which somewhat relates to your profile/content.

Of course this works with older pics as well.
