Yeah, DirectCPV's traffic is horrible. Haven't had much success. Trafficvance has a lot better quality traffic. LeadImpact is probably #2 in terms of quality of traffic.

I agree. Build something unique and keep split testing. I must admit though, I still use the "rules" lander in some of my campaigns. There's a reason why everybody is using them

I agree, just be honest. With the first 10 networks I got into, I didn't have a website. I told them what I wanted to do (generate traffic through paid advertising) and they accepted me.

I've had very good experiences with CPATrend. They tend to focus more on the dating vertical. Haven't missed a payment and they're always willing to work with you. Had good experiences with Adsimilis and Clickdealer as well

I'm doing well with promoting adult dating on TJ. You should also look into international geos (outside US). Less competition

I had bad credit awhile back when I first started my Paypal account and that didn't really affect anything. Just make sure not to keep your money in there long

I'd say do both as well. Maybe you can create a sales funnel. Start with offering the low end product (ebook) then upsell them to the membership site with updated content so you have recurring income as well
