Are you using any CMS? There are nice on-page extensions/plugins for the most popular ones like Joomla or Wordpress. They allow you to control alt descriptions, sef urls, keyword density... You can also use some online tools that gives you hints like woorank.

If you're purchasing some highPR link, you might want to add some low ranking ones to make your link sctructure more natural. Make sure your backlinks have some text around them as well.
