my success rate was higher in going niche as opposed to replacing linkedIn. Join forums, communities or groups that have people from ur affiliate niche participating in them.it may take time to build the network but the contacts u will have will be more relelvant compared to linkedIn contacts.

it is true that linkedIn has been great for lead generation before but it really depends on the niche u are working with. it is easy to reach out to decission makers but hard to get a reply back. it seems like building rapport before making an offer helps.
