I think keyword research tools like keywordtool.io and ubersuggest.com serves the same purpose, in the same effective way. It's just the UI that's different. That being said, I would prefer doing keyword research manually. Works like a charm. And then there's the Keywords Planner by AdWords...

What's I'd say is: "It's not dying nor it's booming." The shape of both black hat & white hat SEO is changing.

Do you really want this page to be indexed in the Google Search Results? Is this a page that people are gonna search for? If you said no, you could consider blocking the bots from indexing the page using <META NAME="robots" CONTENT="noindex,nofollow"> in the meta. That's what I'd do. Good luck :)
