It’s been a long time since I’ve sold on ebay, do you only get paid after it’s shipped? As in, do you have to use your own money to buy the item off of amazon first?

I noticed that even if I get a product listed on amazon, it's not all the choices I chose to begin with like how I chose a shirt, sweatshirt, and hoodie but only the shirt and hoodie are on amazon. I also can't seem to find my product by my listed keywords, only the title.
