PayPal will sell the debt onto a debt collector. Ye this is a thing and is very common. Not sure how much they actually get but they will get a % of the debt and then the collector adds their fees plus the total amount of debt. Glad to heard you got it all sorted!

Try to find someone who doesn’t have a need for the control panel (less tech savvy kind) and then just say you will host their website. A lot easier if you make them their website and you can usually cover the cost of a months hosting plus a bit extra (depending on your costs of course)
