Majestic finds more backlinks than AHRefs, it even finds links that Google doesn't (or at least ones that Google doesn't show in GSC)

I haven't had those problems with Namecheap. But I only register domains with them, I don't use their hosting. Namesilo, never a problem.

It doesn't automatically redirect but you can set it to redirect in most control panels like cPanel or DirectAdmin. You can also add the correct rewrite rule in your htaccess file if you know what you are doing.

Not correct. Google fixed this link sculpting some time ago - you will lose link "juice" either way but with nofollow the juice won't be passed through to the linked page.
