Hey, Have you by any chance altered the .htaccess file. If you have done something to it, you could get that 403 forbidden error. Cross check with the worpress original one and see if it ok. Good luck, :)

Well, it depends on how long ago the domain expired i guess, it might be hard to find something indexed if it has been a long time. Also, take into consideration the posibility that the site got de-indexed (banned) by Google for doing something naughty, which would be a good reason why it is...

I am not saying that you shouldn't take into consideration the PR, just saying that i had some pretty good result when rellying only on backlink quality. Maybe i lost a few beats by not taking everything into consideration, but worked ok . :) thanks though i will try to include that in future...

I don't know how relevant forum posts are these days. Even if they are ok, diversity is very important in link building so you such try more ways. And also a lot of work to facebook,twitter and the rest :).

Any backlink helps, as long as it is from a decent site. Of course being on the same niche helps, but don't forget google likes diversity a lot nowadays.

I would be interested in something like that. Actually i was thinking on opening a network of my own. Some strong sites with a few original articles, should work pretty well for the potencial buyer. But that would need some serios investment. Ohh well, maybe some day :)

Sorry to intervine, but are PRs still viabile when researching a domain? I have't taken that factor into consideration in a long time.

In my opinion it all depends on the success of those apps, plus you wouldn't have full control over that. I would try and go for the facebook solution as well, as it seems to be the best way to create a community, easiest as well. No app programing required :)

I would also suggest just a couple of links. You don't wanna seem to suspect to the allmighty G. :p I would be carefull with the anchors...just using the exact keyword doesn't do as much good as it used to. Good luck.
