Making money with domains like "goggle.com" or "aple.com"?

I'm new to this, so please bare with me. This is probably old and won't work, but I'm curious.

People make mistakes and type wrong things into google. If someone searched for aple instead of apple, and my website happens to be aple.com, would it appear on the top or would gain a boost in the ranks because of the domain name?

I've found a domain which sounds like a big company and the exact way it is typed gets searched 10 million times in a month. Even the page on rank 10 get 100 000 visitors per month even though they don't have anything to do with the original site.

Obviously the difficulty rank of the company (rank 1-5) is insane. But the pages on rank 9-12 are below 30. Could I manage to rank there because of the domain name or is this a stupid idea?

if u wanna go this route, I would go to namebio.com and pick an expensive domain that seems uniquely TM. Then before the company develops the domain, buy the same exact domain in .net, .org, .co, .cm, .ca, etc. and develop it first in their niche. That way they can't UDRP you.

It's like ransom , they'll probably want to own ur domain, especially if it's .net. So you can just sit there with a small site and wait till their company becomes huge and then they'll offer u 1 mil usd.

Like imagine if Apple.com first came out and was undeveloped, then u reg apple.net and threw a computer site on it? How much money u think apple would pay u today for it?

I don't know, but the probability of visitor came due to typo is quite low....
At least I haven't tried that, Google chrome always direct me to the right website.

You're right. It's like 2mil, 1mil, 700k, etc. But that still leaves place 9-12 with 100k clicks a month.

I just came across one by chance. So I thought I'd ask here. I'm aware of the tactic you mentioned, but it's pretty hard to forsee what's going to be popular.

Probably. Just wanted an explanation why in this case, the pages on rank 9-12 still get monthly 100k visitors although the don't have anything to do with the company and just appear by chance it seems.

You can only do this if your website aple.com is in no way related to apple.com.
