So I've been slacking lately and since amazon's affiliate rate dropped their commission rates, my earnings have dropped 40%.

I have been using photoshop for a long time and have a lot of experience creating designs. Yes I know how to create content. So here it goes!

I'll be creating my own designs which will mostly be text or simple graphics. I'll be looking at forums/viral news sites to look for what is trending and also some upcoming worldwide events. I've seen a lot of st.patrick's day shirts and easter shirts popping lately and it seems that there are many designers who grinds!

I usually price the shirts from $14.99-19.99 depending on how many colors or how long it took me to design.

Day 1
I've uploaded 3 designs last year and got a total of $20 in commission. I can have 25 total submissions and a maximum of 2 designs per day.

I also edited those designs which got rejected because of trademark or didn't make any sale for 60 days. So I made some set of designs and updated everything.

I'll tally the monthly income till I reach $500 a month and would sell the account for probably 15-18x the 3 month trailing average. Also I'm doing this to motivate myself and keep a record.

If you have some suggestions, please feel free to share.

Nice journey, will probably follow.

So you are creating t-shirts, and how do you promote them? Via free traffic or your blog/website? And you get a comission per each sold item? And thats it? When is the payout term for amazon? I heard it was net 30 or something, is it correct?

I will not do any active promotions and focus on keyword stuffing/on-page. So if the shirt is about dogs, I would say puppy, man's best friend, and so on.

How does it work on amazon merch in terms of getting your designs ranked first?

Any reason to prefer amazon merch over teespring.com or teechip?

I honestly don't know how the designs get ranked. I'm just intelligently stuffing keywords hoping it will get sales.

I haven't tried teespring or teechip. I just prefer amazon because of the amount of high converting traffic.

Wonder if stuffing the keywords will work. Anyway all the best for your journey.

I believe you can increase the number of designs uploaded when you use teespring integration

Tried getting an invite on Amazon Merch, still waiting :(

How did you get your account?

The wait time can be anywhere up to a year, more often around 3 months. Fill in all your details including tax info and try logging in periodically in case you don't get the email.

Interested,I also need Amazon Merch. Good luck on your journey.

Good luck with the journey
I made my first sale the other day. $1.98 profit lol.
I did not even realise I had submitted a request but I think it took around 2.5 weeks for me.
I'm on prime, Amazon associates/affiliates. I don't know for sure, but I think all the accounts I have with them may have helped.
I'm gona check out the tee spring integration as I can have only 10 live items at one time.

Hey man, I'm definitely following.. I was at the casino a few weeks ago and some old dude walks up to me and tells me how he's been selling hats and tshirts to all the legions and fair grounds. should make for a good read ;)

Update:

I sold only 1 shirt and 3 of my designs were reported to have trademarked and was taken down. So I currently have 10 designs up. Submitted 2 more designs for approval.

It took me 4 months to get in merch.
