Yes, torrents are getting banned very fast. Top seeders torrents are the most profitable and people buy softwares to make their torrents have a high number of seeders in order to get their files seen in the top of search results.
I remember downloading a file with lot of seeders ( a high amount of seeders automatically brings in mind that it's a trusted file).
After downloading it, and about to play the movie file and Windows media player was the only way to play that file. It's a trick, they are asking to install another file in order to make the movie play but it was all fake.
If wasn't vigilant, I would have installed that and get viruses.
Most of times, those files don't stay up there for a long time, so people who upload them might be active users with lots of torrents accounts, since they are already prepared for their files to be banned but they earn based on the amount of time their torrents have been up before they catch them.

It's almost something like fighting against YouTube banning game hack videos. You have to keep uploading.
