Mickyfu's comments reminds me of when medical marijuana was legalised over here.
When medical marijuana was legalised here in California, there was both a rise in consumption and a rise in "metal illnesses" (but not in the way you think), especially in the Inland Empire area. A lot of people who were too scared to do it before now had access to it through friends and family who were "
recommended marijuana" by their doctors (mostly middle-aged folks with pain problems). However,
a lot of the emerging adults had been going to corrupt "medical professionals" in the area who would "diagnose" them with anxiety or whatever else they glanced at in the DSM-V just so the kids could get a medical marijuana card. I've even had a few friends and family members boast about how easily they procured a card.
