Tricking Mailchimp/Aweber

Hi guys,

I want to know if anyone used this tactic to trick Mailchimp:

Step 1: Scrape email list with Scrapebox or something else
Step 2: Create a mailchimp/aweber sign up page
Step 3: Autopost the scraped emails into your sign up page. The email recipients recieve an email for confimation. Let's say a % is curious and confirms the subscription.
Step 4: You have new subscribers.

Probable con: Mailchimp/Aweber will ban you because too many people don't confirm the subscription opt-in.

Is this a viable tactic?

The key is step 3 and also all emails being sent to server from same IP address may get you banned.

The fact that most won't confirm probably won't be what gets you banned first in this situation.

The first thing I don`t understand is why bother ? don`t aweber and mailchimp have an import option ? You can scrape the emails and import them as subscribers right into aweber or mailchimp.. but they won`t be active, usable subscribers, just spam victims, so I wouldn`t do it

Importing them straight to aweber or mailchimp will get you banned instantly. The thing is that you can try this to create an 'organically' grown list.

I have imported (smaller lists, true, but still..) lists to my aweber account without a problem. Why else would you have an option to import if you cannot import them ?

True, but I thought to use this method for larger scale. I think they are cautious with importing lists.
