automated link building

Hi,

What is the general consensus of using GSA, especially after the Fred update?

I have never tried this and therefore am wondering if it is something that is worth investing my time and money in? I am thinking it might be better to invest that time and money into PR to build links the safe way.

I would say that you need first to understand what you are doing by hand. If you can understand what is good and apply automation process keep it going and scale it up. No matter what are you trying to automate, do not even try to do it before doing it by hand and understanding what software actually does.

If you're thinking of getting it as an investment, yes there is a lot of work GSA can take from your hands, if not to blast your money site, at least to improve your tiers 2/3. Although a properly created project can target a money site still, no problem

Still need good lists unless no how to scrape them your self.

I'd avoid it if I were you....doing it to some LOW (like 2 steps removed) from the money site Web 2.0s I suppose but even then idk.

SER is a tool, it does what you tell it. I was still ranking sites with it as recently as the Penguin 4 rollout the back end of last year when most people on here were saying it was dead. I needed a break from it as I was hit by every rollout between then and Fred but I am playing around with it again now.

HEY! Seems my reply was the only one left out of your message You`re mean Nevermind, I`ll answer a question you asked someone else I do have GSA license and is currently running on a VPS I own, I have campaigns open for a parasite page test I`m making and a few Web2.0s I use as T2

Was saying that (nearly always) automation + link building = disaster.

If not right away, eventually...usually sooner than later too

It's best to boost up your tier 1 but you can use GSA directly to money site if you know what you're doing.

I think I will start my site off the white hat way and if I find it ranking too slowly, I will build a PBN and try GSA along with that. Any tips besides checking the forum (doing that already) are welcome and appreciated.

I have started to do research about GSA some weeks ago. Yesterday decided to give a try. I'm testing a GSA blast on some churn and burn sites for tier 2 and tier 3.

When I will have results I think I will start a thread about it. But what can I say about it is the fact that for one of my competitors this strategy worked. I know that will not last in long therm. But I wanna see with my eyes how this works.

If you are willing to spend money and time in Tier 2s/3s, GSA will be fit to you. The Fred is believed to be an update on spam links, so using GSA for direct links won't be a good idea in post-Fred.
