I salute you all Blackhatters!

I've been into IM for the past few years, making money on mostly affiliate/SEO projects. After reading Nihal's "Making 100$/day with shopify" thread and though I would try it out.

I have build a shopify store that has a "neutral" name, thinking that instead of targeting one nische I can make a store that targets multiple nisches. For example right now I have build one collection for French Bulldog merch, one for modern watches, one for yoga accesories etc.

My thought is to do facebook/instagram ads, and if im doing a free giveaway for yoga lovers, I will only target an audience that likes Yoga, and set the link to my "yoga collection", also offering them only upsells that are from the same collection.

By using this method, I can have 2-3-4 nisched ads going at the same time, instead of locking myself to only 1 nische.

What do you think about this method? Has anyone else tried this? If so - do you have any example stores I could see to get inspiration?

Any negative sides of this method?

Please share your opinions and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks :)

hey Guru

That`s good but what about be my partner in my store I have yoga section in my store so you can use it

Hey! Thanks for your answer.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by being your partner and using your store? lol

If you are new its going to hard to manage multi-niches but nothing wrong in it, If you can manage it , I personally go for single niche with woo commerce stores. Plus Shopify is not a good a option, check out woo commerce.

Thanks for the input.

I'm actually pro on woocommerce developing, only reason i choose shopify was because of the Aliexpress dropshipping apps that make it sooo much easier to import product and handling orders.

Can someone recommend a woocommerce app that's similiar to Oberlo or Getshopifiedapp? I'm actually into changin to woocommerce since shopify is so costy if you want good functionality.

There is few plugins like alidropship which can do the work in one click and they are one time cost.

I have a general store my self (multiple niches). It works great. So many people say go into one niche and I kinda just shake my head at that thought. I like to go with cool unique products. And cool unique products don't come by often, let alone in 1 niche.

Having a niche store and a general store makes no difference as a large majority of your traffic don't go to the rest of the store.
And why would they care if it has products in other niches.

When I go to buy stuff, it's not often that I go to specialty niche stores, I usually end up going to a Walmart.

How is shopify not a good option? Shopify is a great option!

1. Security

Shopify is much more secure than woo commerce. If your WordPress woocommerce site gets hacked, not only do you lose your income for a amount of time, they could have the buy now button redirect to their fake checkout and capture your customers credit card details.

2. Hosting

Now this is important if your using Facebook ads. Since they are easier to scale. You could go from 100 visitors a day to 40000 visitors a day. You definetly need a hosting that can handle 40k+ visitors a day.

Thanks for your answer. Glad i'm not alone in thinking 1 niche store seems kinda waste.

The only thing that really bugs me with shopify is you have to pay for every f*cking feature.

Want upsell? Yeah that'll be 9.9-39.9 dollars PER MONTH.....
Don't want customers to buy more than 1 of a product? Sure! that's 4,9 dollars per month!

It's insane what they make you pay and i'm not so keen about paying 100 dollars / month for my store when I'm still in the testing-developing state where i'm not making a big profit yet....

I've been interested for awhile now to start my own shopify store. I have a twitter page with a large audience just waiting to be marketed to. From what you're saying it seems like shopify isn't a good option though?

I usually agree with you but your post gave me aids. I won't really list why but even though i have a different mindset, as it seems, you lack arguments.

You disagree on multiple nisches or on Shopify being a great option? :)

General Store i support the ideal. Not just limited to 1 or 2 products. Why limit yourself and profits ? :)

Thanks alot for the support guys :)

I have now transfered my domain from shopify to a normal hosting and set it all up in Woocommerce. Much much more options to choose from and it's 70 dollhairs a year instead of 120 dollhairs a month.

I don't recommend shopify if you're not a complete noob..
