Recently, the .bz sites have been offline. The reason for this downtime
is a rogue admin (or his agents) disabling the server and locking the
other admins out of access to it. He is attempting, in effect, a hostile
takeover.
We don't know what this admin's plans are regarding the site and its
content; he might run it for himself, sell it to russians, just run it
into the ground, it's not clear. What we do know is this -- any accounts
you have on other sites that share this password should be considered at
risk. For your own safety, please change all such passwords.
The original admins, moderators that were locked out of the Tbz sites
have set up a parallel group of sites taken from backups, but under new
domain names. The can reach the new sites by changing .bz to .click. For
example:
theplace.bz -> theplace.click,
thegeeks.bz -> thegeeks.click,
etc. We encourage you to change your password at these new sites as
well, and hope that you'll continue with us there.
