Getting college students to visit my website

Hey guys, I run a website that depends on getting lots of college students to sign up to be successful. If you have experience in a niche like this, what do you think I should be doing to get students to sign up? I do have a bit of cash to spend on this, but I'd prefer to not spend anything/invest in long term solutions.

Really? This seems difficult to scale. What about online methods?

This most likely isn't the best idea, but what about building a social media page that appeals to college students (e.g., a college memes page) and using that page to advertise your website?

I'm not worried about the idea. It is validated. The website/mobile app works in different ways. I don't make money off of the college students. They attract the users that bring in revenue.

I like the idea of building out a social media page -- allows me to do more BH stuff w/o tarnishing the brand. Thanks for the input.

You can post on free classified ads sites and advertise on FB Groups targeted to the college industry. Twitter, linkedin and other similar websites also work well. Free traffic is always the best long term solution.

I second @manolo12399. I promoted an app targeted at college aged men by hiring a few girls to go collect emails at different universities and colleges.

If you're looking to promote online, try reddit. College kids love reddit.

Directly contact the educational establishments and tell them how you want to help the students which is why they should mail your newsletter or sales pitch to students to get exposure, in return they can get a % comission
