Before you go ahead and spend on designers, I`d tell you to get a professional theme.. Those are very editable and have a lot of features to make it easier for people with no design knowledge to modify their website

To build off of @SunnyLeon's suggestion, I've used Bridge by Qode a lot for building wordpress sites. They have a lot of options to choose from and it's pretty easy to customize yourself.
