[HELP] Trouble With FB Ads. Blew $200! 0 Sales!

Hi guys my friend and i purchased a Dropshipping website that got about 400 dollars of profit a month for about 500 usd. Thought it was great deal and everything assuming he'd teach us the method. We also thought it was worth it because at least we had an email list and sales that we thought we could use...

Well he did teach us that all he did was promote his Free Just Pay Shipping offers in Garage sale groups in every state in the US. He didnt divulge the groups as he said his sister posted them and he did not know and she would not tell him. But those groups have such strict rules. I would really not dare to post there. One post did extremely well organically. We copied it, tried to promote it using so many different audiences and failed.

We are in the Baby Niche. so we tried,

Stacked List of Baby InterestsPages ...... + has Toddlers between age 0-12. FAILED
Stacked List of Baby Website Competitor Pages .... + has Toddlers between age 0-12. FAILED
Built a Lookalike List with 700 people who abandoned cart and purchased. FAILED
Built a Lookalike List with 770 people who liked our Page. FAILED

We were paying like a $1.50 per click into website. We only make $5 if we sell and we SOLD NONE with $200 spent!

I really think we are failing on the Targetting or the Product is Really Just Not Hot Anymore. The Website and Adcopy were designed as well as it possibly could in my opinion cause its Definitely much better than the original post that did so well.

Im really depressed because we've been at this for a month now with no rest and 0 sales.

We are now thinking of scrapping the whole site and going into the Jewellery Niche.

Any Guidance or Suggestions on how to get MORE TRAFFIC would be Highly Appreciated.
Simple Steps(Facebook ads) that you guys usually use to get started from a 0 Traffic store would help very much.

Buying a site that has made previous sales with fb ads does exactly nothing. It's just as useless as a site that made sales. Most customers are not return customers because of long shipping times.

I see it all the time in facebook groups. People selling stores. Fuck I would sell my store thay has done 17k in the last 3 months for $500. Because the store is only worth the design, and the email list.

Nothing matter but Advert Design. Money-making ad-sets and successful keywords and Targetting !

Op why doesent he give you this additonal information seems like it would be easy for him to do. On FB ads I have also seen a large increase in the cost, nowhere near how much it used to cost for clicks. I stopped using a while back.

If the domain is good and the site gets some organic I would invest in growing the blog area and best lists with your product included to get search traffic to you and sales that way. If the website has no authority the names not great I think you may need to cut your losses or try to resell.

You will need to get the exact sales funnel / funnels he was using ...

Just copying FB ads may not work. You will need to know how they were being targeted.

Where were the leads coming from? What was the process of lead generation being used?

What emails were being sent to the leads - and in what sequence?

If you can replicate the funnel or funnels that were being used, you can replicate the results.

Nah guys the website is pretty much dead. Also, i realized we were selling the wrong product to begin with. Going to restructure to a more feasible business structure.

Just wondering guys, how much would you spend to test an ad set? If I have a fresh pixel and fresh website what should i do? Sorry if its asking for too much "spoonfeeding" just that, i've already tried everything i think i could possibly try. I dont know where to go from here.

Omg. Do not do the jewelry niche. Do not try to sell watches, or wallets, or any other stupid shit. Because those are very very very VERY hard to make profitable. I'm telling you from experience. Do not do generic products. It's to difficult. Go with some thing more unique. If you do decide to go into jewelry, make sure its Atleast niche jewelry. Like a dog watch(watch with some dog design) . Or some shit like that. But even then it's still kinda difficult. Go with unique and cool and trending products

Baby niches? Target interesting contents to share. (That people will want to share). Copyright is the least of concern if you attribute the source of contents and do not copy all. And then insert your ads into the contents. Be creative I am not going to reveal all. The content is the one that causes your ad to go viral. Promote your post not click to website( Click to website is damn expensive). I believe you are from Singapore?
